Telos

Have you ever read about those strange cultures that live in close proximity with extended families and share the daily toils of life together. While admittedly idealizng the positive aspects of such living, I find the idea of close connection a cozy choice. Yet I am hundreds, in some cases thousands of miles away from friends and family. Hopefully "Telos" will erase the miles.

The Passing of a Great Man

I woke up this morning to my radio playing music that that seemed out of place. Instead of the usual intro music to Love Worth Finding Broadcast, I heard a very solemn anthem. Then the announcer came on stating that Adrian Rogers had died tuesday, Nov 15th, 2005.

He was part of the Southern Baptist Convention so I did not always agree with his theological conclusions but have been impressed and inspired by his courage in proclaiming the Gospel of our beloved Jesus Christ.

I am grateful for his ministry, mourn his passing, and rejoice that he is with the Lord he loved so much.

Hey Joe...I'm sorry I don't have anything to say concerning this post because I know virtually nothing about Mr. Rogers (except the one from PBS), but I found your blog through Lynn and thought I'd say hi. Maybe you could post about what you're up to? I think I caught that you're doing something at a church and also working at a restaurant, but that's about it.

Anyway, northern Maine says hi!
